Baking on your Electrickit
Baking on your Electrickit...
We cook on Electrickit at home so a great opportunity for some Electrickit baking tips!
- When juggling Baking and everyday cooking, set the top oven to 200c (or higher), place your baking on the top runners and the cold shelf just below to shield the heat.
- For big bakes set the Aga to 180 and use the top and middle runners; the cold shelf will not be necessary when cooking higher in the oven.
- In addition, the top of the bottom oven (traditionally SO in a 2 oven, BO in a 4 oven) can be used.
- For our Mega Bake the oven was already at 200 for supper. We cooked a brownie above whilst dinner finished cooking.
- The oven temperature was then reduced to 180 and multiple brownies and traybakes cooked on the top and second runners.
- Further brownies and blondies gently cooked at the top of the bottom oven.
- Finally late night banana loaves cooked at the top of the RO.
- Result? Dozens of portions of stress free cakes and slices rustled up in record time!
