Making a Festive Fruit Garland on Your Aga

The Aga truly comes into its own at Christmas. When its not busy baking Christmas cakes and mince pies, or roasting your turkeys and beef joints, it can be the perfect assistant for festive crafting!

Our showroom was smelling wonderfully seasonal when our working gas model was put to work drying vibrant fruits for winter garlands.

Instructions:

-Simply slice a selection of fruits - orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit and pomegranate all work well - place on a drying rack over the Aga, either on baking paper or bake-o-glide (the large liner we used is available from our shop).

-Leave to dry for 3-4 days, turning once or twice a day until crisp.

-Alternatively, you can dry your fruits in the warming oven. Pop into the oven on trays and leave overnight or up to a few days. You can use this method to dehydrate any number of fruit, herbs and even to dry flowers.

-Once completely dry, these colourful fruits are seasonal decor bowls or Christmas garland making.
