Simplex Highgrove No. 1 Kettle

Simplex Highgrove No. 1 Kettle
The Simplex Highgrove No. 1 kettle has a natural beauty, radiating warm, rich and opulent tones of highly-polished natural copper and will take centre stage in any kitchen. The signature birds mouth spout delivers a perfect pour every time and is perfect for making pour over coffee as well as topping up the teapot.
Specifically developed for use on AGAs and other ranges with solid hotplates, the Highgrove kettle has a thicker copper base and boils faster than other specific AGA kettles currently on the market. (Tested June 2020)
Every Simplex kettle by Newey & Bloomer is unique, proudly hallmarked with ‘Made in England’ and will whistle on boiling to let you know it’s time for tea, or coffee!
The longevity and timelessness of these beautiful items means this will be an investment that stays in your family for generations.
Founded in 1850, producers of barbershop fittings Newey and Bloomer turned their expertise in copper to create their very first whistling kettle, The Kensington, in tribute to the reigning monarch of the time, Queen Victoria.
Every kettle is lovingly handcrafted from the finest high-grade copper and takes over a month to produce, using the very same hand-spinning techniques as when they were first produced over a century ago.
As they are handmade, each kettle is unique, hallmarked and proudly proclaims its time for tea with its trademark whistle. A stunning statement for any kitchen.

CARE
Do:
Hand wash only and dry with a soft cloth
Copper is an exceptional material in the kitchen and, when maintained properly, your Simplex tea kettle can be expected to last for generations
Empty your kettle overnight to prevent limescale build up
Use filtered water, it tastes better and will also prevent limescale build up
Use a good polishing compound to return the showroom shine, we recommend Brasso or Hagerty copper, brass and bronze polish
Do Not:
Let the Simplex tea kettle boil dry
Clean with any acidic cleaning agents
Scrub with steel wool or abrasive cleaning cloths/brushes or pads as this can lead to irreparable damage
Put your kettle in a dishwasher
